Oh the joy in being stalked!
Okay so Facebook has fixed the oddity/glitch where if you arrow down in the search box your 5 top stalkers/stalked comes up, but you can still search “.” and see the same 5.
Now I’m still on the fence on whether or not it’s those you search/those who search you. My 5 are my 2 best friends, my brother and 2 guys I hooked up with in the past. I know I haven’t been searching them, and would really be shocked if they were searching me but maybe they are. I am pretty awesome.
UPDATE!!! Facebook’s statement via Gawker:
“Facebook tries to surface the people we think are most important to users to make it easier and faster for them to navigate the site and find what they are looking for…The search drop down is not a list of those that have searched for the user. It is also not a list of people whose profile the user has viewed the most or who have viewed the user’s profile the most. To avoid any confusion, this will no longer appear.”
I tried the “” thing when I first read this post, and it worked:
1. BF
2. my roommate/classmate Kayley
3. good friend and classmate Josh
4. friend and former classmate Nadia
5. other roommate’s ex-BF Spencer
Other than my boyfriend (who still qualifies, but I know for a fact that I stalk him more than he stalks me. Erm…), these are all people that I generally have spent more time with than most this year, so it makes a kind of sense. But my other roommate, Ilana, isn’t there, which is kind of curious. Then again, I think she probably spends the least amount of time on facebook out of all six of us.
I don’t know what I think about all this. But I’m pretty damn certain facebook has made it impossible to get this list anymore, because I tried it about two hours ago and only got the first five of my friends alphabetically. No periods, quotation marks… nothing. So somebody’s listening to the bloggers out there. Kind of disappointing, though. I’d have liked to see if it ever changed.
